Bosch Software Innovations
As a strategic member of the Eclipse Foundation, we are excited to be part of EclipseCon Europe again. Being an early innovator in the IoT, we quickly realized the important role that open source plays for the whole ecosystem, providing us with important building blocks to create commercial-grade IoT solutions. Since joining the Eclipse IoT Working Group, we have created and contributed to various open source projects, many of which form the core of our IoT platform.
We find EclipseCon Europe to be the ideal gathering ground for the open source community and the perfect place to share and gain insights into new open source developments and trends. This year, we are contributing six sessions to the conference. We share insights into our approach to open source and take a closer look at Eclipse hawkBit, Eclipse Kuksa, OSGi as well as ways of improving efficiency of open source compliance processes. Feel free to also join us at the IoT playground.
We’re looking forward to seeing you there!

Eclipse Che
EclipseCon marks a special time of the year for all of us each October. Because of this, we are really proud to be a sponsor and get the opportunity to contribute to yet another great EclipseCon Europe this year! As one of the participants in the Eclipse Community Day on October 21st, we’ll start the week with the Eclipse Che and Theia Contributors Summit. This is a great opportunity for anyone who is interested in Che and Theia to learn more about the projects, provide input on their future direction, and interact with some of their key contributors.
EclipseCon Europe 2019 is going to be particularly special for us: the release of Eclipse Che 7 is the beginning of a new journey for Eclipse Che. We are particularly excited to meet you -the community- to share the latest capabilities of the project and get your feedback. We’ll have a booth at the Exhibit where we will be happy to show the new and noteworthy features, as well as discuss your thoughts about cloud tools - so please stop by!
During the conference there will also be a wide set of presentations related to Eclipse Che and cloud tooling. These sessions will be great opportunities to learn in-depth about the latest capabilities of the project, and discuss how we could better shape the future of cloud tooling. We are looking forward to an exciting EclipseCon Europe 2019!

EclipseSource
As a founding member of the Eclipse Foundation and as a service provider focused on domain-specific tool development, EclipseCon has always been the most important conference for EclipseSource. We are a core contributor to a huge variety of Eclipse projects and open source technologies in the Eclipse tools, technology, and runtime ecosystem. This includes desktop-based tools, as well as web-based and cloud-based IDEs/tools.
There are many reasons why EclipseCon is the place to be for. We can showcase our solutions, frameworks, and technologies to potential users and adopters. We can learn about new technologies and developments and talk to other contributors. And of course, we can get in contact with potential customers and present our service offerings.
When looking at the tools ecosystem, I believe EclipseCon Europe 2019 will be mainly about the upcoming shift from desktop to the cloud. Our goal as a service provider is to support and consult our clients with evolving their tools in an optimal way. Recurring, crucials questions are when/how to start the evolution and how to potentially reuse/integrate existing solutions from the desktop.
We will share our experience ranging from a roadmap towards web-based tooling over how to build a tool with Eclipse Theia and Che to new innovative technologies for diagrams in the web such as GSLP. However, since not every project will immediately migrate, we also cover modernizing Eclipse RCP/e4 applications and tools, as well as the evolution of papyrus, an open source SysML and UML tool.
Finally, EclipseCon has always been a home away from home for us. We are looking forward to meeting old and new friends from this community!

Eurotech
As a founding member of the Eclipse IoT Working Group, Eurotech has always believed in open source as an answer to the fragmentation challenge of IoT. We have been part of the extended EclipseCON EU community for many years and we are excited to come back in 2019.
EclipseCON is a great opportunity for us to engage with the users of the Eclipse Kura and Eclipse Kapua projects we support. We love to be surprised by applications of our projects we could not have imagined and to talk with the creative developers behind them. EclipseCON is also the perfect environment for exciting discussions with other technology leaders, exploring new trends and speak new synergies and collaborations.
We look forward to meeting you again this year at ECE 2019.

Obeo
We are always delighted to share a moment with the EclipseCon community. Since the beginning, Obeo is deeply involved in many open source projects including Eclipse Sirius (framework to easily and quickly create a graphical modeling workbench), Acceleo (Code generator)...
Want to know more about us and about what we do? Drop by our booth at ECon EU and discover our latest contributions and the nexts to come during one of our talks (or let’s talk over a beer!)

Red Hat
Red Hat, a leader in open source and a strategic member of the Eclipse Foundation, is very excited to return to EclipseCon Europe in support of the many open source projects we support, such as Eclipse MicroProfile, Jakarta EE, Vert.x, Hono, Kapua, Kura, Quarkus as well as Eclipse Che. Between Red Hat and Eclipse Che, there will have 13 sessions/talks combined on a variety of topics, like Eclipse MicroProfile and Quarkus. We are looking forward to seeing you at ECE 2019 and remember to come and visit us at the Red Hat booth (booth #1) and at the Eclipse Che booth (booth #11) and pick up your swag!

TypeFox
Autumn is around the corner, so it’s time to get prepared for EclipseCon Europe 2019.
As in the years before, the TypeFox team will join: to meet with the community, to give demos and presentations, to discuss achievements and future directions, and to just have a great time.
As long-term Eclipse committers and initiators of the Eclipse Theia project, we will contribute a couple of sessions on technologies to build Cloud-based IDEs. We will cover [Theia](https://www.eclipsecon.org/europe2019/sessions/building-cloud-and-desktop-ides-theia) itself, web-based diagrams with [Sprotty](https://www.eclipsecon.org/europe2019/sessions/graphical-views-web-based-modeling-tools-theia-and-sprotty), and [Kubernetes](https://www.eclipsecon.org/europe2019/sessions/introduction-kubernetes). More than that, we will show you how we used Theia to implement [Gitpod](https://www.eclipsecon.org/europe2019/sessions/how-we-built-gitpodio-online-ide-based-eclipse-theia), an online IDE that provides you with automized development workspaces. We are convinced that this is a big thing, as it brings the same boosts in efficiency and reproducibility to dev environments that CI/CD has brought to build and deployment. And of course there will be the Eclipse Che & Theia Contributor Summit during the community day on Monday.
If you haven’t been to EclipseCon before: It’s a really welcoming conference that features a diverse crowd from many different countries, from all kind of industries, with all experience levels, and with open(-source) minds. Eclipse is so much more than just the IDE, it’s a living community. Do you want to become a part of it? See you in Ludwigsburg!
