Organize a DIY (Do-It-Yourself) Session!

On Tuesday and Wednesday after sessions are over, the community-organized networking starts!

On both evenings, the first hour (18:00 - 19:00 CET) is dedicated to communal, casual fun (games, socializing... more on that later!). The rest of the evening (19:00 - 21:00) is reserved for DIY sessions organized by the community. Choose your type of gathering (BoF, Office Hours, Ask Me Anything session, whatever you'd like), and submit your request. Slots are limited, so get your request in soon!

To get started:

Use the DIY Submission Form to request a slot (log in to the EclipseCon website first)
The form asks for Title, Organizer, Description, and your choice of slots
Available slots are

Wellness Breaks at EclipseCon

A virtual event can be hard on our bodies, with no time for a healthy meal and lots of time sitting in front of a monitor.

At EclipseCon, the 30-minute breaks are all about wellness. We invite you to relax, watch, listen, and learn how to turn your chair time into "I feel better now" time.

Community Day: Reserve Your Spot!

EclipseCon kicks off with Community Day on Monday, October 19. Help design the day by organizing what's interesting to your community. Everything you need to know is on the Community Day page.

Thanks to two of our active communities who have already signed up! The Research @ Eclipse Foundation projects are planning an "Open Source Research Agora." The working groups referred to as "Automotive @ Eclipse" (OpenADx, openGENESIS, openMDM, openMobility, and openPASS) are organizing a "Meet the Automotive@Eclipse Community" session, as well as "Automotive@Eclipse: News and Strategy," a focused discussion on their shared goals, strategies, and roadmap.

Space is limited, so don't delay! We look forward to hearing your ideas.

If you would like your talk to be chosen early for EclipseCon 2020, be sure to submit by June 3. The day after, the program committee will select a short list of of talks for early acceptance, and we will announce the winners.

Remember, all proposals are due by June 15.

Welcome to EclipseCon 2020!

Planning for this year's conference has begun, and there are some new things in store.

Because this is the Eclipse Community's largest and most important global event, the name is now "EclipseCon."
The program will be chosen earlier this year. Note that submissions open on April 15, and close on June 15.
The 2020 program will have fewer concurrent talks, in six rooms instead of eight. To provide the same number of speaking opportunities, Tuesday morning will have regular talks instead of tutorials.
We are updating our website and logo. Check back in April to see the new look.
