Have you ever wondered what is the modern way to create cloud-native microservices? Is the microservice you have created good for cloud infrastructure? How best to utlise the modern technology to improve your efficiency, so that you can just focus on business logic?
Come to this session to watch a live coding session of creating two microservices (client-server architecture) using Eclipse MicroProfile. The microservices created are configurable, resilient, tracable and monitorable. I then package them with Open Liberty and deployed to Minikube. At the end of this session, you should be able to create your own microservices using MicroProfile and learn how to achieve configurable, resilient, monitorable aspects. You will also learn some basics about Docker and Kubernetes.
