To help you get the best possible EclipseCon experience for the second virtual event in a row, Hailley Seed has compiled some tips and suggestions to consider as you plan your virtual visit to EclipseCon 2021!
Some of the most influential developer tools and IDE platforms are built around Eclipse projects. This year’s Web and Desktop Tools & IDEs track at EclipseCon promises to be a good one. The track will include presentations from both adopters of, and contributors to, well-known projects like Theia, Che, OpenVSX and more! It will cover the best frameworks and extensions, how they have been built, what technologies they adopt, and lessons learned. Join us to learn more about all the recent tool innovations and related plug-ins/extensions at EclipseCon 2021!
The freedom of open source software to use, study, modify, distribute and redistribute code is becoming indispensable for companies, organizations and the society. There is no better place to learn about the latest open source technologies than EclipseCon 2021.
How is Java moving forward faster with a rapid release model? Every new Java version promises interesting features and updates. Dynamic projects like Adoptium, OpenJ9 and others will be discussed at EclipseCon 2021.
Are you interested in Industry 4.0, smart city, building automation, smart home, and other emerging use cases? EclipseCon, the leading conference for developers, architects, and open source business leaders, has a track for you!
This year’s Modeling Tools and Technologies track promises to be a good one. The track will cover the many Eclipse projects supporting the creation and deployment of modeling tools and low-code/no-code environments.

Community Day at EclipseCon is great event for Eclipse working groups and project teams, and this year’s is no exception! Check out the list of groups who are organizing sessions; there's something for everyone in the community.
Community Day is on Monday, October 25, beginning at 15:00 CET. Anyone who is registered for EclipseCon 2021 may attend. Space is limited, so update your calendar and grab your spot on October 25.
If you are interested in organizing a session for your group, contact us ASAP. The day is almost fully booked with sessions.
The program committee has selected five talks for early acceptance into the program. Cédric Brun, committee chair, shared his insights on why the program committee was excited to include these talks.
In an earlier post, Cédric describes how the independent, voluntary committee chooses the program. It's an interesting read!
June 1 is the last day to submit for the early-bird deadline, and have your talk be one of five selected for early acceptance.
Don't miss this chance to have your talk promoted as a Program Committee favorite! Historically, early-bird talks have high attendance and good ratings by the community, meaning more visibility for you and your technology story.
Everything you need to know is on the Call for Proposals page. EclipseCon 2021 will be on line this year, and talks can either be pre-recorded or presented live. We look forward to reading your submissions.
