Parking is a traditional vehicular hassle. From my personal experience, in major cities, vehicles are to be parked in a distant location when travelling to a destination. Considering the environment of the distant parking place where the vehicle is parked, the driver or owner might feel insecure about the safety of their vehicle. To overcome this, we modelled a parking model that considers distance between parking lot and destination and also revenue generated by the residential parking lot owners. We used Eclipse MOSAIC and Eclipse SUMO to model various aspects and components of the simulation. This simulation acts as first step to model a realistic scenario. We call the model as 'Smart Shared Private Parking Model'. The audience would get the idea of algorithmic approach followed by us to realise and assess the effectiveness of the model.
