The German Testing Board e.V. (GTB) is the national board responsible for the ISTQB® Certified-Tester scheme – the world’s leading software quality training - in Germany.
The German Testing Board is an association of software and system testing professionals, recognized software testing experts from industry, consulting and training organizations, science and other organizations or associations.
As an independent and neutral association, the German Testing Board supervises the professional quality of the ISTQB® Certified Tester training and qualification scheme and the corresponding examinations in Germany. Together with their training providers and certification bodies, GTB is guaranteeing a high quality education of testing skills for the German industry. The GTB evaluates the Certified Tester training courses provided in Germany against defined criteria and awards accreditations to training providers.
At the international level, the German Testing Board is represented as founding member in the international umbrella association, the “International Software Testing Qualifications Board” (ISTQB®). This organization is responsible for the consistency and comparability of the training and examination contents in all participating countries.
