George Adams is the Java Program Manager at Microsoft and is the recently appointed chair of the Technical Steering Committee at AdoptOpenJDK. Since co-founding AdoptOpenJDK in 2016 he has been leading the community outreach efforts at AdoptOpenJDK and is heavily involved in the Java ecosystem. George also contributes to both the OpenJS Foundation and the Node.js Foundation where he is a core collaborator and plays an active role in several of the workgroups.

After earning a master's degree in programming language design, Irina works at TypeFox as a language engineer, where she helps customers create their own programming languages and development environments.

Melanie Bats

Melanie Bats works as CTO at Obeo. In my daily work, I am mainly focused on managing the R&D team, creating products based on our own open source technologies. I am used to work in the development of modeling tools with Sirius like UML Designer. I am committer for the EEF and the Sirius projects. I am also involved in the Eclipse community as being the Eclipse Planning Council chair. I am also a free software activist who has organized and participated in free software events in the Toulouse area.

Wayne is the Director of Open Source Projects at the Eclipse Foundation. He started writing software in 1983 on an Apple ][+, learned object-oriented programming and Smalltalk in 1987, and was an early adopter of Java. Wayne is a long time contributor to Eclipse open source projects, and regular presenter at JavaOne, JavaPolis/Devoxx, JAX, and EclipseCon.

He is a subject matter expert in Docker and takes a keen interest in emerging technologies with experience in Maven, git, Jenkins and microservice architecture. He has worked on a wide variety of projects such as modernising CICS mainframe testing infrastructure, creating and automating the creation of Docker images for WebSphere, contributing to the microservice Builder offering and creating web applications for events at the Lab.

Fascinated by computer science since his childhood, Matteo is an enthusiastic young software engineer who specialized in the theory of programming languages and type safety. Since the first time he learned about type systems, he has been applying them to craft safe- and secure-by-construction software.
