In this presentation, we'll present -- via a combination of discussion and demonstration -- the tools that the Eclipse Foundation is deploying to help Eclipse Foundation project committers implement in the Eclipse Foundation's Intellectual Property Due Diligence Process.
By the end of 2022, we will have phased out the use of IPzilla and have moved onto a new generation to tools. Gone are the days where committers would need to painstakingly identify all of their dependencies, find and attach source code, and work with the IP Team through an archaic user interface and broken user experience.
We'll talk about the Eclipse Dash License Tool which can help you identify the licenses in your content, and automate the process of connecting with the IP Team to review content for license compliance. We'll talk about the next generation of tools that we're working on, including an instance of OSS Review Toolkit (ORT) which will quietly grind through project code and dependencies to identify licenses and copyright.
We're turning the Eclipse Foundation's IP Due Diligence process around: with this new generation of tools, we're increasing the overall quality of our IP Diligence Process, while decreasing the effort required. Come to this session and we'll tell you all about it.
