Innovation in the cloud-era is about driving efficiencies, agility, and greater opportunities to deploy workloads to the cloud of your choice. Join us as we explore critical challenges faced by organizations in their move to cloud-native architectures along with the innovation in Java standards, including MicroProfile and Jakarta EE, and emerging technologies that help them build and deploy their applications on any cloud, faster and with better performance. Throughout, we showcase Open Liberty, the open-source, cloud-optimized runtime, that is delivering on the promise of this innovation to enable rapid delivery of highly scalable and performant applications, without compromise.

Attendees should be aware of the Eclipse working groups and projects that support the evolution of Java, including Jakata EE, MicroProfile, Adoptium, and OpenJ9.

Objective of the presentation:
This presentation will explore practical issues in building and delivering cloud-native applications and innovation in open technologies and open standards like Jakarta EE and MicroProfile that are driving Java forward as the ideal language for cloud-native application development and deployment. Innovation in Open Liberty, the open-source cloud-optimized enterprise java runtime, are showcased, bringing together the technologies to address the issues.
