Panel including Member representatives of the Oniro project. Using the the information provided by the IoT & Edge Commercial Adoption report as starting point, the participants in the panel will describe some of the challenges they predict they wil be facing in the coming 2-3 years as well as how they envision open collaboration in an organization like Eclipse Foundation as a key factor..

Through the conversation, atendees will get an idea of the direction the project will go in the coming couple of years.

Objective of the presentation:
Last year, I conducted a similar panel like this one related with Oniro. The focus there was joining the WG. This year the focus will be the gaps that Oniro (or any other option in IoT&Edge) should fulfil to become a viable option. Attendees will get an overview of different challenges each company face and how each one of them would like The Oniro project and IoT & Edge Native WGs in general, to face them. Oniro Members have a very diverse profile so we can get a good overview of those challenges. I expect attendees to see themselves reflected in some of the Members points of views which hopefully will trigger further conversations during the event. Oniro WG is now operational. As Oniro Program Manager, I would like this panel to also trigger conversations about the future of the project, as well as to have a positive effect in future collaborations with other EF projects and organizations.
Attendee pre-requisites - If none, enter "N/A":
