Do you - too - maintain an Eclipse RCP application which is heavy already? Do you - too - wonder how to best deploy that application, how to install, configure and update it? We have solved almost all the questions related to this topic using BDeploy - an Open-Source deployment solution which longs to bring together the best of many worlds.
In our company we develop (nearly) all our applications based on Eclipse RCP. We have both server (yes, also server) and client applications which are built as Eclipse RCP Products. They are built for customer specific setups which need configuration, updates, process control (somewhat like a service manager), client installation (with a nice wizard for customers, Windows integration, etc.), and much more. All of this is provided by BDeploy to us – and to you! All Open-Source.
BDeploy is an Open-Source initiative to provide high-performance-turn-around deployments of applications (like Eclipse RCP in our case, but not limited to it). We have built a platform which can handle super-heavy applications in the blink of an eye, handle packaging, configuration, updates, process control, client installation wizards, and much more.
We're very excited about the possibilities that BDeploy can bring not only to us, but to many more - so we want to show it (and its strengths) to you.
In the (near) future, BDeploy will also be the first deployment platform which allows to integrate on-premises deployments with public-/private-/hybrid- cloud scenarios seamlessly - without even thinking too much about how to build containers.
Apart from all the nice features BDeploy has, it is designed security-first and secure-only, providing a super-secure environment for transferring applications where they belong and managing them once they are there.
