EclipseCon is only four weeks away!

In Doug Schaefer's blog, he tells you about what he has in store for EclipseCon.
"I can tell EclipseCon is getting close by the level of my panic. Four weeks to go. And it’s getting pretty tight. I have a whole bunch of things I want to demo and hopefully get the community excited about."

IP Office hits the road to Reston

The Eclipse IP Team will be participating this year at EclipseCon!

  • For those who are new to Eclipse, we will be happy to help familiarize you with the work that we do, and explain how to navigate the IP process as efficiently as possible.
  • If you are already working with us, we will be happy to answer any questions you may have.
  • If you have a CQ in queue, we’ll be happy to look at it for you, and, if we can, we will review it on the spot. If we can't complete the review on the spot, we'll bring it to the top of our list going forward.

To schedule an appointment, please email us. Otherwise, drop by during our "office hours" near the exhibit area. We look forward to speaking with you in Reston!

All About Modeling

Maximilian Koegel tells us all about modeling and what to expect at EclipseCon.

Traditionally, modeling is a very active and well represented topic at Eclipse and consequently at EclipseCon. EclipseCon North America 2016 is a good place to find out about the latest and greatest in Eclipse modeling, as per usual there is a dedicated modeling track at ECNA with some very interesting highlights.

The Evolution and Future of IDEs

One of this year's primary themes is to explore the future of IDEs, and to learn how Eclipse is leading the way in this regard.

This begins with the opening keynote by Tyler Jewell, CEO of CodeEnvy. Tyler will lead off the conference by addressing the evolution of IDEs and presenting his vision of future development environments.

Tyler will demonstrate a next generation Eclipse IDE, and show how major ecosystem vendors are establishing this vision.

This introduction will be followed by a number of great technical talks on Che, Orion, new extensions to the Eclipse Platform, etc. These are just a sampling of the great talks lined up. Check out the full schedule

Overall, this is the place to meet the experts, to find out what's coming, and why it matters to you!
