Open Development data within Eclipse: please help yourself!

Open development data is the latest trend in software: it enables smart business intelligence and self-improvement, provides better visibility on projects and, last but not least, is the ultimate incarnation of transparency in open source projects. As one of the major forges in the open source community, the Eclipse foundation has setup various means to access these resources, from project metadata to source code facts and tools logs.

In this session, we will review the Eclipse open data access structure -- like the PMI, or the Eclipse and PolarSys dashboards -- and demonstrate how it can be exploited for practical purposes. We will further illustrate our approach with an instance of a retrieval and analysis process to build a custom dashboard for a sample Eclipse project.
