The Jenkins Project

This session has been declined by the session moderation team.

As an old (well, young) cousin of Hudson, you may wonder what has happened since the "fork" and more lately.

Jenkins is indeed a very particular project in the global OSS community:
Open in all this word can mean, but ran for example very differently than projects at Eclipse or the Apache Software foundations, and the least we can say is that it's working nonetheless.

We'll talk about the human aspects of the project: how the project is managed through mailing lists, issue tracker, regular open meetings. Show some impressive numbers about the project (plugins, committers). We'll also have a look at a high level view of the software itself: the plugin architecture, its ever growing extensibility, the simple extension model...

We'll finally demonstrate some of the nicest features offered by plugins like the Job DSL Plugin, the Workflow plugin, the possible Docker integrations...
