This session will walk through several reference architectures that solve common edge and IoT situations. The audience will gain a solid understanding of how to place many popular Eclipse IoT technologies in a software stack and form a complete set of solutions.
Common problems at the edge include gathering IoT data streams, integrating varied device types, merging audio and video with time-series data, and interfacing with legacy devices. To solve these problems, more than one open-source technology must be used. But how do they all fit together? In this session you will see several different ways to arrange the pieces as sustainable, scalable software stacks that reach all the way up to the cloud and data center.
Attendees do not need to be experienced in IoT or edge development, but it helps to have an understanding of common situations and terminology.
