Talking with clients and team members about chalenges for testing the conversation is often steering in the way of regression testing. This talk is for everyone who feels regression testing is challenging.
"How do we keep up in a 2 weeks sprint cycle?"
"How can we be sure everything works as it used to?"
"Agile is not an option because we need to execute our 500 test cases before every release."
Are questions that are asked and statments that are made. The solution to this is usually seen in automation, but is that the only answer we could and should give to this problem?
In our talk we would like to approach the topic of regression from a psychological stance and challenge you to ask why again for the tests you have planed to reduce the risk of regression. We want help you to reflect on your process and startegy for testing, are you and your team optimizing for the safest next step to take or are you enabling the delivery of value in faster way. In many ways its fear that is holding us back and we want you to be brave (not stupid) and lead you and your team into the way of optimizing for transparency.
