This talk shows how OPC UA Client and Server functionality was added to Apache Camel and integrated into Eclipse Kura. This is built upon the Eclipse Milo project. Three open source IoT projects working together to create something bigger.
OPC UA (also known as IEC 62541) is an industry standard protocol for M2M/IoT communication between devices which provide data and accept command and their users. Apache Camel is a Java toolkit for routing and converting messages between various endpoints, not only related to IoT. Eclipse Milo is an implementation of OPC UA. Eclipse Kura is an OSGi IoT/M2M application platform for gateway devices.
This talk will:
- Introduce all four technologies
- Show the functionality of Eclipse Milo in Apache Camel
- Show an integration of the OPC UA capable Apache Camel version in Eclipse Kura
