The Internet of Things (IoT) is a major technology change that is impacting all industries. The technology required to implement an IoT solution spans hardware, networking, messaging, data processing, security, application development, cloud computing and more. The IoT Day at EclipseCon will explore the different aspects of IoT technology and help attendees understand how to get started.

The IoT Day will be held on Tuesday, 3 November in Ludwigsburg, Germany. The focus of the day will be on the open source and open standards being used for IoT solutions. The Eclipse IoT community is building a community of open source IoT projects and implements open standards like MQTT, CoAP, DNSSEC and LWM2M. IoT Day will highlight some of the Eclipse IoT projects and also other open source projects required to implement IoT solutions.
