Space meets Eclipse : profiling a Space Modeling Language in MDT Papyrus

Session Type:
Standard Talk [25 minutes]
Speakers

In this session, we will relate our experience using Eclipse to create a Domain Specific Modeling Language (DSML) with an associated graphical editor using the UML profile solution.

While the conventional approach is to define an Ecore meta-model of the DSML and to implement the associated graphical editor (using GMF for instance), our approach consists in defining a domain specific profile in Papyrus through the use of UML profiles combined with SysML profile.

UML2 activity diagrams allow control flows to be displayed in a structured and standardized way. In addition they are reasonably easy to create and understand. They offer a good overview, but don't contain all of the necessary details for test automation.
