Returning attendees know that Wednesday night at EclipseCon is all about social networking.
Drinks? Check. Food? Check. Great conversation? Check. Music? Maybe. Spirited competition? Sometimes. Fun? ALWAYS!
We will continue the tradition of gathering on this evening, but we'll be doing with Wonder.me. Here's what you need to know:
Wonder.me is a virtual space where people can network using their computer audio and video. You can see who is speaking to whom and move your avatars around with your mouse. To join a conversation, you just move closer and your audio and video will turn on. To leave it, you move away. Within the “room” you’ll find a few defined areas to network within.
- Click the URL (in Swapcard) to join the room.
- **You may be prompted by your web browser to allow wonder.me to use your camera and microphone.** Click “Allow.”
- Enter your name and take your photo by clicking Next.
- Click Next again, and you will be taken through some tech checks to ensure your sound and microphone are working.
- You will be prompted to answer an icebreaker question. Type your answer here, and click Next.
- You are now networking in Wonder!
- To move around, click and hold your cursor to move to the topic area you wish to participate in. You can also use the arrow keys on your keyboard to move around the virtual space.
Please note: To view the entire room, click the “+” on the +/- button on the top left. You can also communicate via text chat by clicking the chat bubble in the top right. You can send a chat to people within the circle you’re currently in, privately to a specific attendee, or to everyone.
