Elexis is an Eclipse RCP Patient Management and EMR (Electronic Medical Record) solution primarily for the Private Practice or small to medium clinics. Covering all features required by Healthcare professionals including scheduling, billing and utilization of corporate or government Medical services. Printing and reporting uses OpenOffice via its Java API.
And a flexible WYSIWYG template mechanism allowing to print every patient record, prescription, lab results, label or similar document to be generated and printed. Elexis provides a Healthcare / EMR context. Fields like [Patient.Name], [Prescription.Size] etc. allow dynamic binding to the current patient or other objects (doctors, hospitals, healthcare authorities, the chemist's, the patient's employer,...) Furthermore Elexis has smart templates to generate personalized letters matching the recipient's gender, age, address, or other relevant information.

He has worked for more than 20 years as project manager, software architect, analyst and consultant on leading-edge technologies for Banking, Insurance, Telco/Mobile, Media and Public sector. Among earlier clients are Sony Music where Werner designed and implemented micro-format based tags for their online music portal.
He is committing member at Eclipse Foundation, Babel Language Champion (German) and active member of the Java Community Process, including his role as JSR-275 Spec Lead, JavaEE 6 EG and Executive Committee Member (SE/EE).
