The Jetty HTTP server and servlet container is now part of the eclipse RT release. While many will be familiar with the core features of Jetty (HTTP server & Servlet Container), they may not be familiar with some of the other advanced features that jetty now makes available in the eclipse RT:

  • Deployment of web applications as OSGi bundles, either via RFC66, using the HttpService or as custom Jetty contexts.
  • Asynchronous HTTP Client
  • Websocket Server
  • Multi tenant deployment of multiple webapp instances.
This talk will give a short technical drill down explanation and demonstration of the usage of advanced Jetty features in eclipse RT.
