Tutorials are interactive classes. The speakers give hands-on presentations to teach attendees how to work with a specific technology. Symposia are open discussions. The speakers lead the conversations so attendees can collaboratively generate ideas, recommendations and solutions.
Since symposia attendees are expected to be active participants, some symposia leads request position papers in advance. A position paper explains what you're working on and what you're interested in discussing. Please review the abstracts for any symposia you plan to attend to see if position papers are needed.
There is no extra charge to attend the Tuesday tutorial and symposium sessions but pre-registration is required and attendance is limited to maximize discussions. Register using the conference registration system. If you have already registered for the conference, you may add these sessions by logging into your registration record on this page, and then clicking on "Access My Registration."
