Jens Von Pilgrim

GEF3D is an GEF extension bringing 3D to diagram editors. With GEF3D, existing GEF or GMF based editors can be easily "3d-fied" in order to use them in a 3D scene. This enables the visualization and editing of multiple diagrams in a single view, furthermore inter-diagram relations such as traces or model differences can be displayed. The talk will give an overview of GEF3D and present examples of possible applications, especially in the area of model-driven development, for example a 3D graphical editor for the GMF mapping model.

Jens is a research assistant at the Software Engineering Group at FernUniversität in Hagen (Germany). At Eclipse, he leads the GEF3D project.

Kristian is a student at FernUniversität in Hagen (Germany) and is writing his diploma thesis about GMF and GEF3D. He is a committer on the GEF3D project.
