Symposia

As part of Eclipse Summit Europe 2008, a symposia day will take place on November 18, 2008, before the main conference. The symposia will provide you with an opportunity for open exchange on specific topics with fellow members of the Eclipse ecosystem. If you have a special area of interest on Eclipse, the symposia will introduce you to others with the same interest and provide a lively discussion forum to collaboratively generate ideas, make recommendations, and share solutions.

Lunch will be served to all symposia attendees from 13:00-14:00.

Participation

Advance registration for the symposia day is included with a conference pass, so there is no additional charge to attend. Attendance will be limited at each symposium so as to maximize the disussions and interactions.

Position Papers

All symposia participants are expected to be active participants. Some symposium leaders will facilitate this by requesting attendees to submit a position paper for review by the symposium chair. Position papers help give a clear idea of what all other participants are working on, interested in and want to talk about. They need not be original, but they should describe a participant's interests and experiences. Position papers will be available on the website in advance of the symposia.
