As the Data Tools Platform (DTP) moves towards its fourth year as a top-level Eclipse Project, what changes are in store for users, adopters, and extenders? The DTP 2008/2009 Roadmap will provide a glimpse into the future of DTP for the 2009 Galileo release and detail some of the changes on the horizon. One of DTP's priorities is on the continual improvement of the user tooling available. We hope to become the central place for database development within Eclipse!

Brian has worked in the computer industry for more than 10 years, first as a technical writer and later as a developer. At New Era of Networks, he worked initially with PowerBuilder and then with Visual Basic doing interesting things with the Microsoft Management Console. Later at Sybase he worked in Java on Eclipse-based projects, eventually becoming a founding committer on the Eclipse Data Tools Platform project where he is currently the DTP PMC Chair and the DTP Connectivity and Enablement Team Lead. In his spare time, he likes chasing his kids and pets around his house in Colorado.
