This talk will discuss how the Ganymede Release will be using infrastructure developer under the auspices of the Dash Project, and based on Buckminster, to automate the way the Ganymede release is assembled. The talk will demonstrate the “Gany-matic” system and its use in the Ganymede assembly process, and then discuss its applicability to the internal needs of Eclipse projects as well as other open source and corporate projects.

Thomas Hallgren is a co-lead and primary architect of the Eclipse/Buckminster project, as well a committer to the Eclipse/Spaces project and a mentor to the Eclipse/Kepler project. Thomas’s “day job” is chief architect and co-founder of Cloudsmith Inc., an Eclipse strategic member, which he represents on the Eclipse Architecture Council. Thomas has over twenty years’ experience developing leading edge development tools, frameworks and runtimes, and has been a major contributor to the PostgreSQL community, where he lead the PL/Java project.
