Java EE 5 support is one of the new key features that come with the Eclipse Web Tools Platform 2.0. This session would give a good overview of this community demanded feature that comes with the Europa Simultaneous release.

The session will cover the following topics:

  • A short introduction to the WTP project
  • A short overview of the Java EE components in WTP
  • A detailed presentation of the Java EE 5 tools
  • A look-in on how to include JSF and JPA in a Java EE 5 scenario
  • A brief demo
  • An overview of the plan for enhancements of the Java EE 5 support in the next WTP 3.0 release

Kaloyan Raev is a committer in the Eclipse Web Tools Platform project. He is working for SAP Labs Bulgaria, in the SAP NetWeaver division. After years of working on core modules of the SAP NetWeaver Application Server, he is now aligning the Java EE toolset of the SAP NetWeaver Developer Studio with the Eclipse WTP project.
