This talk will introduce the Eclipse Communication Framework (ECF). We will look at the ECF process and collaboration, both internal and external. ECF architecture will be covered, including API, services and protocols. As well, an overview of deployment scenarios will be demonstrated.

In order to show where ECF is heading, we will discuss the future outlook of the project and look specifically at some case studies. There will also be some time for a hands-on live session.
