Igor Vinnykov
Integrated Subversion support is the one of the most wanted features for Eclipse users. Such
high interest is explained by the currently observed stable popularity growth of Subversion.
More and more projects choose Subversion as their version control system nowadays. The developer
communitys interest to Subversion gave rise to plug-ins that enable Eclipse users to
work with Subversion. One of such plug-ins, the Subversive project, is aimed at including Subversion
support into the standard functionality set of Eclipse. In December 2006, the Subversive
project joined Eclipse community as a technology project. What is the project status at
the moment? What further steps will be taken to develop the project? These questions will be
answered in course of this session.
This session offers Subversive users an opportunity to take a closer look at the new functionality
and the set of features, which will make the use of Subversion more simple. The list of covered
topics includes the following:
- Overview of main Subversive functionality
- Answers to the frequently asked questions, which the Subversive team receive every day
- Tips & Tricks for Subversive
