In this talk we will introduce the 1.0 release of the Rich Ajax Platform and give an overview of the new and noteworthy features that have been added recently. Besides many little improvements, this will include the following highlights:
  • Namespace conformance with SWT, JFace, and the Workbench
  • Support for opening and closing Workbench parts
  • Support for multiple perspectives
  • Workbench editor support
  • Eclipse Forms support
  • Background processing
  • Themeable user interface

Benjamin Muskalla works as a software developer and consultant at Innoopract Informationssysteme in Karlsruhe. He is a committer on the Rich Ajax Platform (RAP) project, mostly responsible for the Workbench implementation. Benjamin is also an active contributor to the Eclipse Platform itself.

Ralf Sternberg works as a software developer at Innoopract Informationssysteme in Karlsruhe. As a committer for the Rich Ajax Platform project, he is responsible for the RAP Widget Toolkit (RWT) and the theming infrastructure.
