The IoT/M2M Day features the exciting new open source community that is building technology for the Machine-2-Machine (M2M) and Internet of Things (IoT) industry. IoT and M2M is all about connecting devices, sensors, actuators, etc. to the Internet. The popularity of open hardware platforms, like Arduinos, Beagle Bones and Raspberry Pi's, plus open source software that target IoT have made it an exciting time for developers to learn and innovate in this space.

The Eclipse IoT/M2M community and open source projects are actively developing some key building blocks for IoT and M2M developers. The community is implementing open standards like MQTT, CoAP, OneM2M, Lightweight M2M and frameworks for gatewways, home automation and SCADA systems.

The IoT/M2M Day is your opportunity to learn about what it takes to build IoT and M2M applications. The day long event features technical sessions on common M2M architectures, overview of IoT protocols, security, home automation and more. Be prepared to learn and be inspired about is possible.

The IoT/M2M Day is co-located with EclipseCon and will take place Wednesday, March 19, 2014 at the Hyatt Regency San Francisco Airport. EclipseCon attendees with an All-Access Pass may attend the M2M talks included in the M2M day. If you're only interested in attending the M2M day, we have one day passes available for only $200.
