Embracing Eclipse Orion

The Eclipse Orion project provides a completely new platform for building browser-based development tooling. In this talk we show how we re-used Orion to build our own browser-based developer tooling, show-casing an editor-centric and browser-based approach for JavaScript developers that is build on top of Eclipse Orion. We talk about the underlying architecture, discuss our design and implementation decisions, and show how we integrated advanced code-completion and content-assist for JavaScript, including support for AMD and CommonJS modules, AST based navigation - plus whatever additional features we get implemented until EclipseCon Europe this year.
