OpenJDK is the place to collaborate on an open-source implementation of the Java Platform, Standard Edition, and related projects.
This session will explain the OpenJDK Governance model, structures and roles in the community. We will relate and draw parallels between the OpenJDK norms and processes and Eclipse.
After watching this session, attendees should have a better sense of how the OpenJDK works, and how it compares and contrasts from Eclipse.
In this talk you'll learn how the JDK 7 Updates Project in OpenJDK works, and how to work within it, how to track changes, get your fixes in, and follow along as for example the Mac OS X Port gets integrated into future JDK 7 update releases.
