Marcel studied computer science at Darmstadt University of Technology, and earned a doctorate on leveraging collective intelligence to improve developer's productivity. During his doctorate he founded the Code Recommenders project which moved to eclipse.org in 2011 . He's still (re)searching for alternative ways to improve developers' day-to-day work - even outside the IDE.
