He has been a member of the Eclipse Community since its beginning and he is a prolific contributor with many years of experience on numerous Eclipse projects; Gunnar leads the Technology PMC and is a member of the Eclipse Architecture Council. Apart from software and computers he loves chatting about fishing, diving and his family and other things that matters over a good beer or a glass of wine.

    Holger Staudacher works as a software developer and consultant at EclipseSource in Karlsruhe, Germany. He is the project lead of the RT Packaging project and one of the core team of committers on the Rich Ajax Platform (RAP) project. Holger is interested in anything to do with agile, clean code and distributed systems.

He is also a committer on Eclipse Virgo - application server, designed to run enterprise Java applications.

    Ian co-leads the Equinox/p2 project and is the component lead for Zest, the Eclipse visualization framework. Ian is also an avid proponent of Model Driven Engineering (MDE) and has studied how MDE can play a role in the design and generation of information visualizations. His interests include software architecture, component oriented design, human-computer interaction and just about everything related to software engineering. Ian holds a PhD from the University of Victoria.

    István Forgács PhD. was originally a researcher interested in software testing, static and dynamic analysis. He has published several scientific articles in leading journals and conference proceedings. He is currently a managing director at 4D Soft and leads the testing department. István Forgács is the inventor and project leader of 4D Soft's latest products: The 4D Ariadne code tracker, the 4D Jidebug influence debugger and the 4D Jatest bug alert tool.

    Jean-Michel Lemieux is the Vice President of Engineering at Atlassian. He leads the team of engineers who invent and write the code that runs over 100,000 active Atlassian product instances around the world.

    Before Atlassian, Jean-Michel was the Chief Architect at IBM for Rational Team Concert. Jean-Michel has been a committer on the Eclipse platform since it's inception and is the co-author of the Eclipse Rich Client Platform book published by Addison-Wesley in 2005.

    Prior to IBM and open source, Jean-Michel worked for Object Technology Inc (acquired by IBM), ObjecTime (acquired by Rational Software), and Hewlett-Packard. He holds a bachelor's degree in Computer Science from the University of Ottawa and has filed two U.S patents.

    Joachim Engelhardt studies Informatics - Mobile Systems on Ostfalia University of Applied Science and works as scientific employee in the team of Prof. Dr.-Ing. Gert Bikker on several projects using the Eclipse technologies to research and develop software solutions for data modeling in different industry domains. These research projects work with modern Eclipse technologies like EMF, GEF, GMF, JET, EEF and XPand. The currently proceeding master thesis is about Software development processes and an AUTOSAR component editor based on Eclipse.

    John has worked on the Eclipse and Equinox projects for the past decade in many different areas. He was the main developer on the resource model for many years, and designed the platform's concurrency infrastructure. In recent years he has focused on the Orion project, provisioning (p2), e4, and overall platform API quality. John is a member of the Eclipse Architecture Council, Eclipse Project PMC, and the Eclipse Foundation Board of Directors. John is a Senior Software Developer at IBM, based in Ottawa, Canada.

    John Duimovich, Java CTO and IBM distinguished engineer, has been the lead designer and implementer for the OTI/IBM virtual machine technology for the past twenty years. He played a key role in the development of the IBM J9 Virtual Machine, ENVY/Smalltalk, VA/Micro Edition, and VA/Java Java IDEs.

    John also was involved in the creation of Eclipse, and is currently the project management committee lead for the Eclipse Tools project.
