This is not your father's CDT
With conservative statistics of over half a million downloads yearly, the CDT Project provides tools for a large number of C/C++ developers across the globe. In recent years, companies that use the CDT have shown a lot of interest and effort towards making it a professional grade set of tools. With a thriving community of 17 active committers, more than 250 contributors, and 1500 contributions over the years, the CDT continues to progress at a great pace.
In this talk, committers will present an overview of the CDT as it will stand for the Kepler release but also of where it aims to be in the not-so-distant future. We will explain the changes made to the CDT to address the multicore revolution. We will also describe how some companies are positioning the CDT as their main development tool. Come hear about and see demos of the features that make the CDT a serious contender in the C/C++ IDE space. We will cover the most recent improvements in the areas of: Refactoring, Code Analysis, Debugging, Unit Testing, and more. We will conclude with a discussion and Q&A.
