Eclipse Development at Microsoft (presented by Microsoft)

Session Type:
Sponsored [35 minutes]
Speakers

Martin is an Eclipse plug-in developer working for the mother of all Microsoft shops – the Visual Studio team itself. He works in a distributed, agile team that builds the Eclipse plug-in for Team Foundation Server, Microsoft’s Application Lifecycle Management and collaboration product. His work is 99.99% Java code, with a sprinkling of JNI. In this session he will give the developers perspective on what life is like coding in Java inside the company, discuss the tools, procedures and agile methodologies they use and explain the challenges Martin’s team had to overcome when integrating their Eclipse development efforts in a predominately Microsoft technology based organization.
