Projected Participation and Demographics
For the past several years we have issued about a thousand badges for EclipseCon. Paid attendance for 2010 was up from 2009. We are being conservative with our planning but would not be surprised to have a similar-sized crowd in 2011.

Sponsor Pass Policy
We realize that every sponsor has different objectives and plans for EclipseCon and we strive to be as accommodating as possible. There are two kinds of passes available to sponsors:
- All Access Passes allow individuals to attend all sessions, keynotes, meals, receptions. and activities.
- Exhibits Only passes allow individuals to be present in the Exhibits Area, sponsored presentations, and receptions.
To maximize value to all attendees and exhibit staff, we encourage sponsors to give full conference passes to everyone attending from your organization. This allows staff to attend keynotes, have all meals, and get into sessions relevant to their areas of expertise.
Each bundle includes includes a number of All Access passes and $500 coupons or free Exhibits Only passes. The $500 coupons can be used towards regularly priced All Access passes. They cannot be combined together, or with speaker discounts, other coupons, member, alumni, or other discounts. You may wonder why we treat a $500 coupon on par with an Exhibits Only pass priced at $150. The reason is that Exhibits Only passes are actually priced below our cost. We offer Exhibits Only passes as a convenience for the few sponsors that need them, but at a hit to the conference bottom line. Moreover, all members and committers receive a $250 discount, so this $500 sponsor discount is essentially an additional $250 discount (or approximately 20% below the member discount).
Speaking Slot Details
Speaking slots will be included in the official conference schedule (deadline for guaranteed inclusion in the printed program is January 31, 2011). Speaking slots can be combined for longer sesssions and the following are some ideas for sponsors with multiple slots:
- schedule short or long talks in synch with regular conference program
- schedule multi-hour hands-on tutorials
- schedule demos of your products
- host a "meet the team" social reception with coffee service
- sponsor a presentation presented by an open source project
- or do all of the above!
