What: Provide the basic constructs of a complete configuration merge updating scheme for xml based files in the absence of a structured model. From faceted project updates to real time configuration merging via quickfix.

Why: Most deployable projects require a level of configuration support. Presenting some approaches for accomplishing this.

Take Away: Attendees will be able to obtain valuable knowledge of the high level tasks needed. Discussion of the constraints, available technologies, and what contributions in the future would aid in this area.

What makes this unique: Currently, there are several underlying technologies that can be exploited, however, this specific problem is not currently solved given xml documents who's underlying structured models vary. In contrast, the underlying model of the java compilation unit is known, the approach must vary in the model agnostic case.
