The BlackBerry OS is in wide distribution with over 50 million active subscribers in both the Enterprise and Consumer space. The BlackBerry OS supports Java and Web application development. This session will discuss the Java and Web development solutions within Eclipse In addition, this session will detail some interesting build solutions Research in Motion has successfully implemented in order to use Maven for internal development.

Jon Dearden is a senior developer for Research in Motion working on Eclipse-based tooling for Java and Web. He has a passion for technology, having co-founded an e-commerce business and a mobile app development company before joining RIM. Jon has been a contributor to the Eclipse Mobile Tools for Java project and worked with the Pulsar team. He was the grand prize winner of the e4 Mars Rover Challenge at EclipseCon 2010.
