This lightning talk introduces the Ribbon IDE, a leaner, modern user-interface for Eclipse based on the ribbon concept.

The project:
- integrates the Hexapixel Ribbon widget (EPL) with the IDE
- delivers a leaner and user-friendlier experience, without the visual clutter of view toolbars and the perspective switcher
- allows the user to customize the toolbar using extension points
- is deployable as a plug-in or via p2
- is available under EPL on github

In just 12 minutes we will do a quick demo of the software, provide a short technical overview and explain where to get it.
