Rational Team Concert has always been free of charge for open source projects and academic purposes. In this talk, Ben will outline his experiences using RTC for the open source project RSSOwl - a popular Eclipse RCP application. He will describe why he decided to move to Rational Team Concert and will report on his experiences in migrating the RSSOwl project data to Rational Team Concert.  He will demonstrate how Rational Team Concert is used for RSSOwl development and discuss the benefits and challenges when using Rational Team Concert for an open source project.

Benjamin Pasero works at IBM Rational Zurich on the Jazz Platform and Rational Team Concert with a focus on the Work Item and Foundation component. He is well experienced in the Eclipse Rich Client Platform with a focus on SWT and JFace and has written a number of articles on this topic, as well as giving workshops at conferences. He is also known as the author of the open source news reader RSSOwl. Benjamin can be reached via e-mail to benjamin_pasero {_at_} ch.ibm.com.
