The presentation will explain the integration of the Open Source BPEL engine Apache ODE with OSGi services, hosted on an embedded container (Equinox). One of the main constraints of the BPEL technology is that it is primarily a Web services orchestration technology.
Using the BPEL extensions to bypass this limit enables this technology to take advantage of the most interesting features that OSGi offers: hot deploy, versioning, dependency resolution, etc.
Besides this integration, different available deployment models will be explained.
A short demo of the tools, developed for this integration, will follow the presentation.
