In February 2009, the new Mozilla Developer Tools released Bespin, a demonstration of how to create a full-speed, scalable web-based code editor, along with a skeleton of how a cloud-hosted development environment could be constructed around the editor. Based on community feedback from the initial release, Mozilla has decided to continue the Bespin experiment to the next phase: transforming it into a real product. No one understands better than the Eclipse community the effort such a venture entails, and as such the Bespin team would love to engage with Eclipse users and developers to jointly create a fantastic code editing experience in the clouds. Come join us in this BoF discussion to explore the future of the project.
