From Data to Intelligence in 17 Clicks
Business Intelligence (BI) is part of the real work of creating systems that deliver deep business value. For business users and corporate decision makers -- the folks who sign the checks -- BI is a window into application effectiveness.
Decision makers need to drive business performance, whether measured as profitability, efficiency, or customer satisfaction. A good BI system will answer key questions:
- How and how often is the application being used?
- Does the application drive sales and revenue?
- Is the application generating profit and/or good will?
- What system improvements will boost business results?
This presentation will introduce you to a number of Eclipse based BI options in the context of the greater BI market. We will demonstrate how developers can exploit BI to draw insights from data via examples that will be immediately familiar to all EclipseCon attendees... and we'll do it in just 17 clicks!
