The mobile browser is becoming the application platform for the new generation of "smartphones." The "always-connected" and rich services available on today's smartphones is leading many to look towards a new hybrid application that marries the best features of the web with the rich services of your smartphone such as GPS, contact lists, accelerometer, camera and other services.

The Eclipse FireFly project is focusing on the development of tools and frameworks to enable the development of these future rich mobile internet applications. We would like to hear your thoughts and experiences developing for the mobile web and your vision for the mobile web applications of tomorrow.
Wayne is a co-founder and VP of product development at Genuitec where he leads its MyEclipse family of products as well as the Eclipse Blinki/FireFly Mobile Web Developer Kit Project. He has been developing Eclipse plugins and products since 2002.
