The best way to extend the power of Eclipse-based tools is by building plug-ins - and this workshop provides the best education from the top experts: the guys who literally wrote the book on the subject. In addition to introducing the basics of plugin development, the instructors will show you how to add the sophistication and “polish” that your end users demand. In this workshop, you’ll learn the fundamentals of plugin development, with specific solutions for the challenges participants will most likely encounter. Session content is based on the newly released third edition of the best-selling "eclipse plug-ins" book, co-authored by Clayberg and Rubel and includes topics ranging from Eclipse commands to the PDE Build process. The workshop is split between lecture and hands-on lab work and has been updated to encompass the Eclipse 3.4 “Ganymede” platform. (Please bring a laptop with Eclipse installed.)
