Apache Camel is a powerful rule based routing and mediation engine which provides a POJO based implementation of the Enterprise Integration Patterns using an extremely powerful fluent API (or declarative Java Domain Specific Language) to configure routing and mediation rules. The Eclipse SOA Tools Platform project has developed a graphical tool which allows the creation of Apache Camel routing and mediation instructions by direct manipulation of conventional Enterprise Integration Pattern graphics. In this tutorial, you will learn how to use the STP Enterprise Integration Designer to design, create and deploy Apache Camel routes to solve some sample integration challenges.
