This talk will discuss the enhancements being incubated in the Equinox Incubator with respect to Security. We will discuss the four broad themes for 3.4, including: - Integrating the Java Security Provider Architecture (JCA) - Support for certificate management over KeyStore and Certstore - Providing Login via the Java Authentication and Authorization Service (JAAS) - Enabling code-signer based authorization when loading bundles We will start with a brief overview of Java security fundamentals that are relevant to the 3.4 work, then transition to the integration points that have been established in the Incubator.

Matt Flaherty is a Project Lead for security on Lotus Notes, and the lead on the Equinox incubator security project. He has 10 years of experience working on security development and architecture across several product in the Lotus portfolio, including both the Notes client and the Domino server. His interests include security, identity management, and open source as it relates to both development processes and business models. He holds a BS in Computer Science from Syracuse University, and is currently working towards an MS in Engineering and Management from MIT. Contact info on Linkedin profile
